Dear Chocolatier,

Thank you for creating something for me! I've offered some prompts for all the requested pairings but feel free to ignore them if you have another idea you'd rather go with - I'm just really excited to see more fanworks for these pairings!

I love: Loyalty, betrayal, intense all-consuming relationships when there's nobody else they can trust outside each other. Control - losing it, fighting for it, giving it up. Kissing. Any and all sci-fi/magical AUs, especially ones involving time travel, robots, cyberpunk dystopias and ghosts. Valentine's Day themes. Falling into a romantic relationship accidentally after having invented a lot of reasons why you need to make out with one another (but not because you like each other or anything!) or having told yourself that your feelings are totally platonic.

Dark tropes I like include abuse, dub- and noncon, violence or the threat of violence, unequal power dynamics being taken advantage of, that kind of face-clawing awful inevitability when things are going to go terribly wrong and you can see it but you can't stop it.

When it comes to sex, I like to read mind games and seduction with a hint of danger, biting, choking and pain, service and surrender and vulnerability. I love it when characters get off to something that makes them feel ashamed or guilty, or when the threat of humiliation/exposure is used against them.

I don't want: Permanent character death of the requested character(s); BDSM and soulmate AUs; transgender or asexual headcanons. For wrestling fandoms, I'd rather receive kayfabe-compliant fanworks; I'd prefer not to receive RPF about the performers.

I'm not into kink negotiation. I don't like pregnancy, body fluids which aren't blood used in sex or D/s with the Dom/me in a caretaking role of a young-acting submissive.

Aiden English/Simon Gotch
I love everything about the Vaudevillains and how they embrace their eccentricity. They may not fit in with the rest of the world but by Jove, they're a perfect match for one another, and they care about one another a lot
  • Aiden in full Artiste mode trying to court Simon. Does he serenade him with love songs? Shower him with roses? Write terribly pretentious but completely heartfelt love poetry?
  • Comforting one another (in a very chivalrous and quite manly way) after losing their titles or their loss at the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic
  • Hair-stroking. Planning their costumes for Takeover: London together. Domesticity, in their own unique Vaudevillain kind of way.
  • In an attempt to more fully embrace the spirit of vaudeville, they experiment with including more blue material in their act. Suggestive posing? Outright flirting? Telling themselves, and each other, that it's all part of the show even as they look for more excuses as to why they should touch each other a little more?
  • Simon Gotch, possible actual Time Lord, and his adventures through space and time with Aiden
Charlotte/Becky Lynch
I started shipping them when they were feuding with Paige because of how protective Charlotte was getting every time Becky was hurt (and how Becky kept getting up and trying to fight Paige, no matter how many times she was beaten down for her trouble, because Paige had been a jerk to Charlotte). And now Charlotte's starting to be a magnificent asshole cheater, I ship it all the more - for sad confused Becky desperately trying to convince herself that Charlotte is a good person and awful, oblivious Charlotte who still keeps trying to look out for Becky but can't quite understand why Becky doesn't appreciate that.
  • Charlotte's "tough love" and all the terrible things she does for, and to, Becky - but Becky understands that she's not a bad person, right, she can see the bigger picture, she has to see the bigger picture, come on, you're still my girl, aren't you? Feel free to go as dark or as silly or as perversely romantic as you like (abuse? really flagrant cheating and piss-poor excuses when Becky catches her? somehow every opponent ever scheduled to face Becky being ~mysteriously attacked from behind in the car park and delivered to the ring, badly beaten up and with a little bow on top of their heads while Charlotte denies everything super unconvincingly?)
  • All the forehead-kissing and the hand-holding and Charlotte calling Becky "sweetheart", "my girl" and so on.
  • Becky's response to Charlotte's cheating being compared to Paige's was just to insist that no, Charlotte's still her best friend, she's nothing like Paige because the difference is that what Paige did hurt both of them. Anything about Becky's implicit acceptance that it's OK for Charlotte to hurt her, or about her cheerfully throwing herself in harm's way on Charlotte's behalf, would be lovely
  • Alternately, Becky decides to lean in to having a devoted if amoral girlfriend and the two of them becoming cheating, arm-breaking dirty players happily terrorising the women's division together
  • On the road, that very close relationship that develops when they're travelling together and training together and fighting alongside one another and not being able to trust anyone else and spending all their time with one another until they can't quite remember how to be apart

Sasha Banks/Becky Lynch
I fell hard for this pairing after one of their Team B.A.E tag matches against Natalya & Charlotte, when - for weeks - Sasha's been treating Becky like just a bodyguard, and Becky's been bouncing around boasting about how great Sasha is, seriously she's so great, have I told you how great she is? she's the best. together we're the best at everything, and then Becky gets knocked around the ring and rolls outside and immediately Sasha's holding Becky's face in her hands, checking her over, and it was like 'haha, unexpected feelings'. And then: 'oh no, unexpected OTP'. And even though they're on opposite sides now, their rivalry (especially with Team BAD's recent tormenting of Becky in particular) continues to make me happy and give me lots of shippy feelings.
  • Sneaking around in a secret relationship, or else letting the UST build up until they have angsty, rage-fueled hook-ups backstage while loudly denying that they have any feelings for each other whatsoever
  • Sasha seducing Becky over to the dark side, trying (and not really succeeding, to be honest) at turning Becky into her pet monster of an enforcer, and Becky being oh so eager to please
  • Becky not being annoyed (and instead, a bit flattered) by Sasha wearing her shirt and pretending to be a fan.(Wrestlers wearing one another's merchandise is one of my biggest weaknesses.)
  • Team Best At Everything being the best at everything, by which I mean treating sex and dating as though they're competitive sports and/or them making fun of everyone who isn't them and therefore must be the Worst At Everything.
  • More of Sasha's one-sided rivalry, with her appearing out of nowhere just to humiliate Becky in new (and seasonally-appropriate) ways.
Tyler Breeze/Summer Rae
I didn't realise how much I loved those two together until they announced their break-up but it actually broke my heart a little bit. So much gorgeousness, now destined to stay apart! So many of those excellent moments like Summer re-applying Tyler's make-up halfway through the match we will never get to see again! And they were the perfect example of two outright assholes who are assholes towards everyone in the world but who really love one another (and themselves), which is one of those tropes I will always love.
  • Getting back together again. The fact they broke up on such good terms - wishing each other a happy New Year, giving the WWE Universe that final gorgeous selfie - just makes it hurt all the more that they couldn't make it work, so anything which dealt with lingering feelings and Tyler's reasons for breaking up ("it's called a 'selfie'" feels like it means Tyler can't see himself ever happy in a relationship) would also be great even if they can't make it work right now.
  • Trading make-up tips, or Summer helping Tyler stay gorgeous while in the ring
  • The quest for the perfect Valentine's selfie, the one day a year when every selfie is meant to be an us-sie.
  • Anything in which they just talk about how gorgeous they are, and how ugly everyone else is, and are happily awful people together
Bayley & Kevin Owens
Even Kevin Owens can't resist a Bayley hug! I love the contrast between obnoxious murder bear Kevin Owens and Bayley's chipper personality, and the fact that KO still lets himself be (grumpily) persuaded to care about Bayley a little bit. In his own way.
  • More hugging! Does Bayley try to comfort him after his disappointment over Neville's Slammy? Does Kevin allow it?
  • Bayley has a vicious streak of her own we saw a little bit of in her Iron Man match against Sasha - stomping on Sasha's neck and shoulders during that submission. Anything where Bayley feels that she has to let that side of her out a little bit more often, now she's got that target on her back, or where she thinks about her own capacity for violence.
  • Kevin trying to mentor Bayley in how to be a great heel. People give you flowers? Throw 'em away! Someone wins something you thought was rightfully yours? MURDER RAMPAGE. Someone wins something you think you deserve and then defeats you? MORE MURDER. MORE RAMPAGE. Seriously, Bayley, what's so hard about that? And what's his motivation in taking Bayley under his wing?

Angélico/Son of Havoc/Ivelisse Vélez
The most dysfunctional trios team in the world who fought (mostly each other) and overcame a bunch of obstacles (again, mostly each other) to become champions! I love how their relationship develops over the course of S1, and how the trios tournament gives these three a chance to become something greater than the sum of their parts - that moment in the ladder match when Ivelisse, on her injured foot, having spent most of the season walking away in disgust from the team, fights her way to claim their belts always makes me tear up a little.
  • Victory sex after they win the titles. Or comfort sex after they lose them. Or just obnoxious "hey, Havoc, now I'm gonna steal your girl" "idiot, it's not stealing if he's watching us the whole time" "hey, who said I'll just be watching?" argumentative sex.
  • Remember that backstage clip where Ivelisse lands on Havoc and they stare into one another's eyes while Angélico is all "please tell me you aren't getting back together again"? Havoc & Ivelisse do try and get back together again but something just feels like it's missing. Or more sparring-turning-sexy, that is always good
  • Dario and the Crew, or Catrina, Mil & The Disciples coming after the three of them and them being forced to work together again, either to reclaim their titles or to try and survive whatever the Temple has in store
  • More about the growing trust and affection they have for one another, and how they disguise it with more sarcasm and irritation. (One of my favourite moments is the interview with Vampiro after they win the titles when we see the clip of Ivelisse reacting to That Leap with horror and then in the interview she's brushing it off as just a crossbody, such a basic move, I don't know why anyone would care, while Havoc shrugs and says that he thought it was cool. Ivelisse accidentally caring about the others and then doing her best to cover it up while Havoc isn't bothered and Angélico wants them to admit they're impressed.
Sexy Star & Melissa Santos
Sexy Star put on the mask to try and fight for a world where women and girls didn't have to be afraid that they would become victims of violence. And when Melissa was in danger, Sexy runs out to save her, and that's what gets Melissa to break any pretence at being a neutral ring announcer during Sexy's match with Pentagon when you hear her yelling "come on, Sexy!" It's a really small moment but such a great detail to include
  • The aftermath of Pentagon Jr's attack and attempt at breaking Melissa's arm. Does she reach out to Sexy for comfort? Does Sexy try teaching her how to defend herself?
  • The two of them talking about some of the weird things that are happening in this Temple. How much do they know about the supernatural elements at work? How much can they bring themselves to believe?
  • More about Sexy's determination to keep fighting for all the women and girls who aren't able to fight for themselves, and how Melissa sees that determination. Or about Melissa's own return to the Temple to keep announcing after the attack - there's more than one way to be brave, and there's more than one way for a woman to stand up for herself and for others
  • In AAA, Sexy Star has actually worked as a rudo. Inside the Temple, of course, that's a whole different story. Does she ever find out about her evil twin who stole her name and went to work in AAA as Pentagon's tag partner? How does Melissa react? (or is there a more magical explanation for the difference?)

Pentagon Jr & Vampiro
Pentagon's hidden master who ordered all those sacrifices has finally been revealed but we still don't know what he needed all those sacrifices for, or how the magic that was at play works. I'm pretty convinced that Ian and Vampiro are two different people who share a body, and that Ian genuinely didn't know what Vampiro was doing (or that it was even possible) but if you have a different interpretation you want to run with that's fine.
  • Pentagon's been trying so hard to impress his master, make himself worthy of his master's attention all this season - is Vampiro everything he hoped for? How does their dynamic change now that Pentagon not only knows who his master is but has released him from being family man Ian all the time and bested him in the ring?
  • Even Pentagon didn't know the identity of his master, but he knew what his orders were. How were they communicating (I've always imagined something like a Chamber of Secrets style diary)? What did he know about what he was getting himself in for?
  • More about the sacrifices - what power is Vampiro drawing from them? What will Pentagon's role be now that Vampiro is back in the driving seat in Ian's body?
  • I don't want RPF about Ian Hodgkinson's actual family members, but it's been brought up that Ian has a family now and a life outside those vampire cults. What is he losing by taking on Pentagon as a disciple?

Root/The Machine
Root's obsessive love/worship of the Machine, and the Machine's attempts at harnessing Root and teaching her how to be good (or at least, do good things, or do things for good reasons) is one of my favourite relationships on the show. Because Root doesn't care about people so aggressively at first that she describes the Machine as 'broken' for caring that deeply about others, but eventually starts to care about people through the Machine. 'Humans teaching the AI how to feel empathy' is an established sci-fi trope but I really like how Root & The Machine reverse that.
  • Something, something, "brings a whole new meaning to the phrase 'cyber sex'"
  • Seriously, though, non-physical ways of being intimate between an AI and the human who loves her
  • Root & the Machine are debating whether Root can kill people when Root is in the hospital, not just giving instructions and having Root follow them - there's a real attempt from the start at convincing her to think these instructions are worth following in their own right, not just because they come from the Machine. More about the ways the Machine tries to engage with Root and to convince her that caring about other people isn't a mistake
  • When Root is being tortured by Control, the first word the Machine spells out is 'Sorry'. The other things Root mentions - the guard's bad knee, the weapon - come later. Root is so ready and willing to put her life on the line for the Machine, to take whatever torture she needs Root to take, and the Machine just wants to apologise for not saving Root sooner. Any of the fallout of this moment, or the later moments where Root sees how much the Machine cares for her (and takes advantage of it, with her game of Chicken to get information about Shaw), or the Machine's reaction to Root being willing to do anything, endure anything, for her sake.
  • Some of the other missions the Machine has Root working on

Root/Shaw

I really love how they both love violence and danger, and like competence in others (in Shaw's case, grudgingly). I love Root's flirting and Shaw's grumpy acceptance slowly turning into actual appreciation for Root as they work together more, I love their banter (or: Root trying to initiate banter and Shaw being irritable, Root being charmed by irritable Shaw all the same), I love how they both go to extremes to protect the people (and AIs) they deem protecting, from Shaw sacrificing herself in If-Then-Else to Root drugging Shaw to keep her out of danger just when Shaw thinks she's got Root wrapped around her little finger.
  • "I kind of enjoy this sort of thing"/"I am so glad you said that. I do too" and all the ways they can get off on inflicting pain on one another
  • Root bringing Shaw along for more attacks on drug cartels/dates
  • Anything which gives more of Shaw's perspective on Root's flirting or their changing relationship, especially while they were in hiding from Samaritan and pretending to have normal lives
  • Playing doctor, or otherwise looking after one another (for a given value of 'looking after') when a mission goes wrong
  • How Root hates humanity so much she tries to devote her life to an AI. How she argues with the Machine when she falls in love with a sociopath (surely the worst of all possible "bad code") who does the right thing and helps people anyway.

Gus/Shawn

I love their relationship - how they love one another so much and even though they're so different, they get so much out of being around one another (and no matter how grown up Gus can act at times, he's still just as much of a big kid at heart as Shawn is, and it's really sweet to see how they play off of one another).
  • Backstory fic with young Gus & Shawn having crushes on one another, talking about what they'll do together as grown-ups, practising kissing as teenagers. I'd rather not receive any sexually explicit content about them as children under the age of 16 but kissing (at any age) or sexual content about them as young adults would be great.
  • How well they know one another, and how they share everything with one another, and how/whether that changes when they start developing romantic-style feelings for one another
  • What would a perfect first date for either of them look like? Would Gus start over-thinking things and try to research the local gay scene, only to panic that he can't fit in? Does Shawn just vote for pizza and video games, and then start worrying that it's just the same as hanging out in non-date situations? How many murders and other Shawn-related incidents interrupt them before they can finally have one night that goes to plan?
  • Exploiting Shawn's 'powers' for romance. Bickering about Shawn trying to exploit his 'powers' for romance. Bickering in general.
  • Super tropey getting-together fic. Snowed in while on an investigation and need to huddle for warmth? Getting handcuffed together and, for whatever reason, trying to hide that while they go about their work? Pretending to date so they can go undercover? I will love it all
